Birthday Oscars! :)

Well, it had been 9 years since I'd last celebrated my birthday, apart from the annual small family gathering at home with the parents, son & siblings. So, this year, I'd decided to celebrate it outdoors, with friends as well as family. And, boy, was it the best idea I got this year! I had the time of my life, thanks to all the people who were there, and all their smiles, laughs & positive auras! :)
So, as a small "thank you" gift, I decided to give Oscar awards to those who made that birthday party the best EVER, here goes my list:

Best Save-The-Birthday Action:
A birthday is never a birthday without a cake! & I had absolutely no cake plans  until 24 hours before the party! I thought of asking a really good friend-of-a-friend baker but I knew she would have no time to do what I wanted & I didn't want her to try to work under pressure. So, These two came to my rescue :)
And the Oscar goes to:
My sister Nour & my future brother-in-law Ahmad
Thank you guys, that was the yummiest birthday cake I ever ate, and from this day forward, all future cakes will be compared to it  :)

Surprise Appearance Award:
So there I was, thinking he's outta town working in upper Egypt when all of a sudden I discover he's in Cairo and, get this, FREE on a THURSDAY NIGHT! He somehow managed to show up despite all the errands to run & the emergencies emerging! And, he got me a beautiful gift, absolutely beautiful really! I dearly thank him for the amazing surprise :)
And the Oscar goes to:

Thank you for the surprise, and for always checking up on me even when I can't answer my cellphone lol !

Celebrationary Spirit Award:
She is always ready to celebrate! Always ready to pick up happy vibes, magnify and multiply them then spreading them again. I love her so much, and I don't care if biology begs to differ; she IS my sister :)

Sweet-Tooth Patience Award:
I know how much this one loves desserts, & I know that the cake took forever until it made its way into our plates. I also know he tried to cheat & order his own cake, but fate intervened & the burned crust granted him this reward!

Daya3 Award:

She was unbelievably late, and therefore earned that award fair and square!

Tolerance Award:
I knew he was a good listener, but I never thought he'd listen for FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS ! He's shown some major tolerance and understanding that I felt guilty for previously considering him impatient. I'm really glad he showed up & I'm glad he's my friend.

Grooming Award:
Now, don't you get this the wrong way! You all looked awesome, and you all know that when it comes to looks, I don't give compliments lol ! But that was a really cool opportunity to see his face thoroughly shaved, hadn't seen that, literally, in years!

Location Award:
Although he gave me the wrong name to the place, then Nour told me the right one, he helped me find that amazing place where we all gathered. He was also kind enough to make it easy for a GPS-impaired sis to find. I felt bad he couldn't make it there coz he was terribly sick, but he was on my mind all the time.
